IMPORTANCE: Several diabetic patients with macular edema can be helped with fewer ranibizumab injections instead of injection and followed for 24-36 months. focal laser to microaneurysms is not a harmful macular procedure. BACKGROUND: To prove the efficiency of focal laser and fewer ranibizumab injections in improving the visual acuity (ETDRS letters) and reducing the central subfield thickness (CST).
